WHIP IT GOOD

A luxurious healing body butter handcrafted in small batches. Learn to make your own or support this human doing their best to do some good. The choice is yours.

A time-tested remedy for even the driest skin. Formulated for sensitive skin without fillers, petrol, silicones, perfumes, essential oils, or dyes. The scent is only what naturally occurs in unrefined cold-pressed oils. Some variation in color and texture may occur.

Best applied on freshly washed skin that’s still a bit damp and after water-based hydrators. A little goes a long way. Use a clean SPREADER or fingers to scoop a bit out and let your hands warm it up. Massage deeply into skin. It might feel a bit heavy at first - but give it time. Let the good stuff soak in!

WHIP IT GOOD is a natural product made without stabilizers, which means it may melt at higher temperatures. If your whip gets too melty, you can always refrigerate to solidify it again or even re-whip it. Keep it from melting and freezing and store it below 26ºC/80ºF, away from sunlight.

WHIP IT GOOD can be used anywhere on the body, even on your face and scalp! Patch test recommended before use on face. Excellent for ashiness, eczema, cracked heels, soothing inflammation, diminishing the appearance of scars and stretch marks. Even great for preventing the flaking of healing tattoos after the first few days of using antibacterial ointments.

MAKE YOUR OWN

A labor of love.

  • My serious search for better skincare began somewhere around 2010. After spending my teens battling sensitive skin and wasting so much time and money on products that lead to breakouts, rashes, and other ailments, I was determined to find a solution that was also budget friendly. This is when I switched to using primarily plant-based oils such as argan, jojoba, and rosehip seed in my daily routine, and found that they were a vast improvement to much more expensive formulations. My specific sensitivities were mainly to silicones, soy proteins, and benzyl peroxide. I also wanted to avoid petrol-based products. An early cervical cancer scare had also made me wary of many preservatives and inactive ingredients found in common products. This made most available drugstore options unsuitable at the time.

Since then, much has changed in the skincare game, but my routine remains fairly consistent. Skincare is something that varies from person to person, and one must account for several factors including lifestyle, climate, genetics, diet, and age. However some things do apply to most people and conditions - hydrating and moisturizing. As I’ve gotten older I’ve also developed new conditions - eczema being one of them. I have had outbreaks of dermatitis brought on by stress and hormonal issues, which usually ended in steroids and antihistamines and costly prescription ointments. My biggest focus (and struggle) health-wise is prevention, which means a lot of constant maintenance and attention to not only my mental state, but also my diet and self-care routine.

Fast forward to 2020, and we are in the midst of a global pandemic. I have been laid off and job opportunities are scarce and tbh not very enticing in the service sector (low pay, bad hours, no insurance, etc). Most of my peers are struggling to keep themselves afloat, fiscally and mentally. I was fortunate to have gotten federal and state unemployment and Medicaid. This was the most amount of time I had ever had to myself since being a child. Since I’ve always been a crafty witch who loves DIY, I wanted to use my time to create something I needed but couldn’t easily get, made to my own standards. Something my friends might want too - and I was right. All the elements fell into place and WHIP IT GOOD came to be. From researching and sourcing ingredients to hand embossing every tin, this was and still is a labor of love that I am so glad to be able to share with you all.
